In 2017 Yorkshire bred 3-piece garage rock trio The Cribs gassed fans with their 7th studio album, 24/7 Rock-star Shit.
Recorded in just 5 days with re-recorded EP tracks from their earlier days. This album features a theme of distaste towards the dysfunctional spasticity of everyday existence. Rocking a familiar grunge two-step that screams the Jarman brother’s alchemy is tenser and tighter than ever.
Lead Vocalist Ryan’s lo-fi abstractions about what infuriates him, growl against the refreshing gusts of punk inspired infusions of bass drums and guitar. The single, Year of Hate echoes pub rocks anarchic ideology. Their most recent sounds embody the evolving issue of wild liberation. The Cribs aren't a band for the un-deranged, their upcoming gigs will certainly be full of lifelong fans.
Renowned on the shoe gaze scene across the world for their colorful detestation of politics and the mega powerful. This anti-establishmentarian attitude is amplified in their earlier collective attitudes. Thematically, they’re lyricism attempts to explore dark dreams, dystopia and depression. Over time, the band have demonstrated electric eclecticism, across their records it is evident how music has changed them personally.
