Hometown: Southampton, UK.
The Line-Up: Brad Dorey (vocals, guitar, synth), Ryan Wilson (guitar, keyboard), Ben Ysselmuiden (bass, keyboard, vocals and Sam West (drums).

The Background: A chance encounter, one of great fortune, to be blessed with the melodic psychedelia that is G L A C I E R S... it felt like fate. They took residence on a Sunday, the backstreets of a dark Southampton club, pro bono exposure for a charity festival raising funds for The Dorothy Springer Trust. As one of many performing live on the day, a battle of impression and persona lead to uncovering this fledgling band, driven by experimentation and strong pop sensibility.
The above depiction of my experience demonstrates
G L A C I E R S immense song-crafting capabilities.
Each element of G L A C I E R S immersed themselves within their morphing roles. Performing as an instinctual, organic collective, casting spells within complex, emotional phrases till the crowd's focus bound.
Formed since 2016, with sporadic demos released in the UK, Europe and Canada, the rate G L A C I E R S are conquering suggests wizardry on the side of distribution.
G L A C I E R S have dominated the south coast in less than a year, tyrannizing radio stations, blogs and live venues across the country where their emotive structural entities have wet the appetites of post-rock lovers and they're dedicated promoters. Recently receiving recognition from BBC Introducing, Indie Obsessive and Indie Planet. As we all know, the seal of approval from any of these taste-makers can often launch spotlight hungry artists into egocentric corporate suffocation. However, G L A C I E R S remain untainted by these constricts of creativity, releasing a-single-a-month from their debut EP, Insincere. If your earbuds have been craving a fresh and fashion-forward Dream-pop, Shoegaze ensemble - G L A C I E R S won't disappoint.
The Buzz: G L A C I E R S debut EP is expected to drop sometime in April. Entitled 'Insincere', it follows the February release of their BBC Introducing hit by the same name.
The Truth: G L A C I E R S imminent success within the UK's over-saturated indie, post-rock or alternative scene is fully dependent on the popularity of their debut EP. I fear that if this eclectic EP, drip-fed to the masses could fall into absolution. This band leaks potential, as technical young connoisseurs, they lack experience and exposure.
Most Likely: G L A C I E R S take London by storm following the success of their debut EP on BBC Radio 1
Least Likely: To exceed the reputation of Radiohead within the remits of 'Experimental Brit-pop'
What to Buy: Insincere EP and Rubescent
File next to: Foals, Bon Iver, Radiohead, BADBADNOTGOOD, Arctic Monkeys, Sigur Ros.
